Fishing
We want your fishing trip to be the best one that you have ever been on. We plan each trip carefully according to the weather and the type of fish you would like to target. We leave the dock at safe light and usually return to the dock with at least two hours of daylight left to clean your fish and do preparations to the boat for the next day. We usually fish between 10 and 50 miles from
shore. Our boats are fast and comfortable and we get you to the fish fast no matter how close or far we have to go to find fish. Things you need to bring on your fishing trip are:
- Sunscreen
- Sea-Sickness pills if you have been sea sick before or if you are not sure if you will get sea-sick.
Sunglasses
Zip Locks and an ice chest to take home your catch in.
You must provide your own food and drinks for the day.
White sole shoes or shoes that will not leave scuff marks in the boat. Most black sole shoes will leave marks.
Comfortable clothes
Rain Gear if it is suggested during the booking of the charter.

January - March
- Yellow fin Tuna
- Black fin Tuna
- Wahoo
- Grouper
- amberjack
- Mako Sharks
Although we catch tuna year round the winter months offer world-class Tuna and Wahoo fishing.
During this time of the year monster size yellow fin tuna move into an area called the Midnight Lump.
The tuna fishing is very consistent and state records have been broken during this time for the past
two years. Most of the yellow fin tuna average 100+lbs. with 50% of them being 150+lbs. or better.
On January 29th, 2007 Mr. Buchanan caught the 7th largest Yellow fin tuna in the
state which weighed in at 222.2lbs.
The smaller black fin tuna average 20-25lbs. but pack a lot of power. Wahoo fishing is incredible as
well with the majority of them 50 lbs. or better. It is very common to catch 90-100lb. Wahoo during
this time of the year. All of these fish are excellent eating. Of course with the heavy tuna
migration into this area sharks are sure to follow. Mako sharks are a very common catch,
put on a great show, and are mouth watering good to eat.
April - August
- Yellow fin Tuna
- Black fin Tuna
- Wahoo
- Red Snapper (Red Snapper season opens June 1st and closes August 5th, 2008. Season could change for 2009)
- Mangrove Snapper
- Dorado (Mahi-Mahi)
- Blue Marlin & White Marlin
- Grouper
- Amberjack
- Cobia
- King Mackerel
Our summer months produce a whole variety of different species to fish for. This is the all
around best time of the year to fish. Our weather is usually very mild and the Gulf of Mexico
is calm. We catch most of our tuna and marlin around the floating platforms and rip lines. The
reef fish which are snapper, grouper, amberjack, and cobia are caught around the underwater
structures and permanent rigs.
September - December
- Yellow fin Tuna
- black fin Tuna
- Cobia
- amberjack
- grouper
- mangrove snapper
- Wahoo
Our fall months produce yet another amazing time to fish for Yellow fin Tuna. We have a mullet
migration offshore and the big tuna and other species move in to feed on the mullet. That is when
we move in to catch these species and experience some unbelievable fishing. The snapper and cobia
bite are excellent as well. Most of the cobia fishing is site casting and extremely fun.

Blue water trips are fishing for
Tuna, Dolphin, Wahoo, and Marlin.
Rig fishing trips are fishing for snapper, grouper, amberjack, cobia, mackerel, and
other species of fish.
The 32ft. and 30ft. Twin-Vee fishes 1-6 people.
Because of where we are located we have very little walk-on business. Therefore, we
usually cannot put trips together with different parties. If you would like to reserve a
date and have us put together a group for you to split costs, you will have to reserve the
date you would like to go with a deposit. If this is done within a reasonable amount of time
(1 month) we can more than likely put a group together for you.
To book a charter, please pick the most convenient date for you and your group. Give us a call
or email us and we will be happy to let you know which dates we have left open. In January-March
we book up fast so if you plan on fishing during this time do it early.
