Finishing August Strong
The days of August may be winding down, but our charters are going strong and catching big fish!
Starting this week, the Winkleman crew from Illinois and Captain Bob caught some yellowfin tuna during their charter. This group also got to watch a jumping blue marlin near their boat! Captain Bob then hosted the Petraglia crew from New York on their charter and brought in four yellowfin tuna and seven mahi-mahi on their charter. The Nunmaker group rounded out Captain Bob's charter week with four blackfin tuna, three yellowfin tuna, and a few rainbow runners.
Focusing on the inshore charter fishing, the Buice crew came from Georgia to fish with Captain Chase, which paid off big! They caught bull redfish, five redfish, two sheepsheads, a flounder, and a speckled trout! They also hit their limit of red snappers by catching eight. Captain Chase also took the Miller crew from Texas inshore to catch sixteen red snappers, thirteen redfish, eight white trout, and a few bull redfish! To finish the fishing week, Captain Chase teamed up with Captain Jordan to take the Sheikha crew on their inshore charter trip. They filled their ice chests with twenty redfish, three sheepsheads, two black drums, and a flounder!
Back offshore, Captains Willy B. and Scott stayed busy with their charters! The Kinscherff crew from Illinois and Captain Scott caught fifteen mahi-mahi and nine red snappers. With Captain Willy B, Dr. Burkhardt's group from Michigan returned to the marina with some red snapper and a swordfish. Colorful and big catches from these captains and crews!
