Busy August Bites
The beginning of August is upon us, and our charters have been bringing a variety of fish back to the marina.
Captain Scott chartered with the Butts, Davis, and Rohen crews this past week for some offshore fun! The Butts crew from Texas caught 40 mahi-mahi plus two tuna on their charter. Now, this was the best way to start a new charter week. Next up for Captain Scott was the Davis crew from Florida. This group finished their charter strong with seven yellowfin tuna and six mahi-mahi. Ending the week was the Rohren group from Texas with eighteen red snappers AND an African Pompano.
Captain Bob set out on several offshore charters this week, including with the Woods, Ragland, and Green crews. To begin the week, the Woods crew from Maryland brought along a few younger anglers to have some fishing fun! They snagged ten mahi-mahi, nine red snappers, and a cobia! Dr. Ragland's crew came up next and returned to the marina with fourteen mahi-mahi, nine yellowfin tuna, and three blackfin tuna. It's not a terrible way to hit mid-week with our charters! The Green crew from Missouri didn't disappoint at the end of the week. They caught almost all of the rainbow colors! They caught twenty-four mahi-mahi, four rainbow runners, and a yellowfin tuna during their charter. Captain Bob also took an additional crew offshore and filled the board back at the marina with tuna and mahi-mahi.
Captain Willy B stayed busy last week with the Blanchard and the Rybacki groups. The Blanchard crew racked up a few yellowfin tunas on their charter. The Rybacki crew finished their three-day charter by reeling in a blue marlin and three tuna.
Turning our attention to inshore fishing, Captains Chase and Matt took the Turner group from Texas on a 2-day charter. They filled up both boats both days by catching eight catch-and-release bull reds, ten flounder, two black drums, and a jack crevalle while on charter. Did we mention they hit their limits of redfish on both days? Yeah, inshore fishing is HOT this month!
